Baptismal Team
Purpose (Scope of Ministry): To assist the Pastor by helping to see that the candidates for baptism are notified, properly instructed, and robed. It shall be their duty to maintain the dressing rooms, robes, towels, etc. in neat, clean, orderly, repaired, usable, and available condition at all times. When necessary, they shall recommend the purchase of the new robes. They shall do everything possible to help the Pastor to make the ordinance easy, worshipful, inspiring, meaningful, and biblical for the candidate, the congregation, the lost, and themselves.

- Church Membership: Yes (Chairman), No (Team Members)
- Chairman: Selected by Nominating Committee and elected by church body
- Length of service: 3 year term
- Main Staff Contact: Director of Music

- Volunteers must complete Safe Kids Training
Procedures:
- On the day before, install the handrails on each side of the pool. There is an adjustable wrench on the men’s side (hanging on a hook below the existing handrail). Do not over-tighten the bolts.
- Clean the pool of debris.
- On the day of baptism, arrive twenty minutes before the service is to begin. Assist the pastor and the candidates as required.
- Place wet robes and towels in plastic bags. Mop up or wipe up with the towels as necessary. After service, drain pool via switch on the men’s side. Please do not drain during the service.
- Take robes and towels home and wash. Return to the changing areas as soon as possible. Place robes on hangers and the towels on the shelves. Please remember to lock the doors to the baptistry.
