Events and Schedule Changes for the Season

Thanksgiving: No evening activites on Wednesday, November 22nd (including Life Groups, Prayer Meeting, Choir, and Children's and Student activities)

Wednesday, December 20th: Adult Choir Only (No Other Activities)

Recognizing the many Christmas-related activities and travel of our members, we will not have any of our regularly scheduled Wednesday night activities on Wednesday, December 20th except for adult choir rehearsal. That means there will be no childcare, Children's choir, Children's Ministry Foundations groups, Student Large Group, Prayer Meeting, or Life Groups.

The Adult Choir will still meet on Dec 20th to rehearse in preparation for leading Christmas Eve worship.

Christmas Eve, Sunday, December 24th: Christmas Eve falls on a Sunday this year. 

We will have 4 services on Christmas Eve -- two choir-led services on Sunday morning and two afternoon Christmas Eve services. The morning and evening services will have different music and messages, and you are invited to join us for both morning and evening or just one or the other. Childcare will only be available for the 3 PM service for 2-year-olds and younger (advance notice is appreciated, and can be sent to Pastor Dustin at dmcelduff@smrbc.org). 

• Christmas Eve Sunday Morning Choir-led Services (no childcare available)
  • Sunday, December 24th @ 9:30 AM
  • Sunday, December 24th @ 11:00 AM (also to be streamed online @ smrbc.org/live)
• Christmas Eve Afternoon Services
  • Sunday, December 24th @ 3:00 PM (childcare available for 2's and under)
  • Sunday, December 24th @ 5:00 PM (also to be streamed online @ smrbc.org/live)

There will not be an 8:00 AM service on Christmas Eve. There will also not be nursery (except 2's and under at 3 PM), Children's preschool, Children's Sunday School, or Student Ministry Life Groups. Adult Life Groups are encouraged to coordinate with Pastor Chip and can meet if they desire, understanding that there are no children's or student classes meeting.

No Wednesday Night Activities on December 27th

That means there will be no childcare, Children's choir, Children's Ministry Foundations groups, Student Large Group, Prayer Meeting, Life Groups, or adult choir rehearsals on those days.

SMRBC Office Closures

The SMRBC Office will be closed for the following dates:

• Thanksgiving: Wednesday afternoon, November 22nd through Friday, November 24th. 
• Christmas: Monday, December 25th through Friday, December 29th
• New Years: Monday, January 1st

Messages can be left and will be periodically checked on the church's main phone mailbox. You can also reach the staff by email at email@smrbc.org, which will be monitored daily for urgent messages.

2023 Year-End Giving Deadlines

All Contributions need to be received by the end of day on December 31st.

Physical contributions must be received before the end of day, whether given in the offering boxes on that Sunday, received in the mail, or dropped in our mailbox. Online Contributions can be submitted online any time before midnight on December 31st.

Contributions received after these times will be posted to your 2024 giving statement.
