“Making a difference one person at a time”
For over three years on the fourth Saturday of every month (rain or shine) we have prepared a hot meal and transported it to Monroe Park in downtown Richmond for the homeless. Not only do we carry hot food, clothes and toiletries to those in need, but more importantly we share the Gospel of Jesus Christ and our friendship.
A weekly Bible Study has developed out of this ministry and has been meeting for over 2 years every Tuesday night at 5:30 pm. In May through September we meet on the Franklin Street side of Monroe Park. From October through April we meet at the Pace Center, on the corner of Franklin and Pine Street, and prepare bag suppers with homemade desserts that are handed out. We have a tennis shoe and sock drive once a year, prepare backpacks full of essentials and other items for Christmas, and try to meet specific needs as they arise.
Monthly needs: new or gently used adult clothing, soap, shampoo, deodorants, t-shirts, socks, or underwear.
