Join the fathers and sons (recommended age - 6 and older) of SMRBC for a fun-filled weekend at Pocahontas State Park. Dads looking to create memories and build a strong bond with their son(s) will not want to miss this opportunity. It's also a chance to connect with other dads and sons in the church.
Details:
Cost: $25 per camper (price includes lodging and 5 meals).
Dates and Times: Friday, May 31(check-in 5 pm) to Sunday, June 2 (check-out 10 am).
Lodging: Rustic cabins (no tent required). Cabins have bunk beds, mattresses and one ceiling light. There is no running water or heat/AC in cabins. Cabins share a restroom and shower house facility. Father and sons will share accommodations with other campers; cabins sleep 4-6 persons each.
Activities: There will be some organized activities and games. Bible time and father/son devotionals. You can also count on a campfire with S'mores each night. Pocahontas State Park has many recreational options. They include hiking, swimming, fishing, boating, biking, and more. Campers will need to bring their own fishing gear, boats, bikes, etc. See Pocahontas State Park website for all the recreational options. They have paddle boat and canoe rentals.
