Tracing Glory: The Christmas Story Through the Bible is a twenty-four day Advent Devotional written for families to use in December. It begins looking back at the creation of the world in Genesis and ends looking forward to the new creation in the book of Revelation, tracing the glory of Jesus Christ from start to finish.
Each daily reading corresponds with a Christmas tree ornament that can be hung on the family Christmas tree or on a special Advent tree. The daily ornaments will help children grasp the meaning of the Biblical texts as they see the grand narrative of Scripture unfold.
The SMRBC's Children Ministry will be hosting a Christmas craft night on Wednesday, November 20th from 6:30 to 8 pm. On this night, children will make a set of ornaments for their family to use throughout the month of December. The $5.00 cost is per family (siblings will work together) and will cover the cost of the devotional and ornaments. Preschool children should be accompanied by at least one adult to help ensure the ornaments can be completed during the allotted time.
